Our boarding experience at Long Creek Farm is quite simply, top notch. We offer a safe, clean, and thoughtfully designed environment, with seasonal accommodations and amenities that are sure to make your dog wag with delight! We intentionally limit the number of guests to ensure a safe and exceptional experience for every dog.

Our spacious, climate controlled suites are outfitted with plush bedding and relaxing lounging areas and individualized indoor-outdoor access. Each suite can be further customized with comforts from home (i.e. favorite bed, blanket, plush toy etc.) ensuring your pup feels welcome and well adjusted during their stay. We also provide our four legged guests with access to a spacious and welcoming “dog barn” located in our main building complete with comfortable furnishings and enriching elements perfectly suited to canines.

Our thoughtfully designed dog lodge offers private suites with individual indoor/outdoor access creating a calm and secure retreat so your pet can choose between cozy inside comfort or sunshine and fresh air. Every suite includes tailored comforts—such as elevated cots and plush bedding—to support a peaceful and restorative stay. Our guest suites are also air conditioned in summer and heated in cooler months, ensuring your pup enjoys a comfortable climate controlled environment no matter the season.

We’ll handle feeding your dog their own food along with a continuous supply of fresh, clean water to keep your pet well-nourished and hydrated. Our team carefully follows each pet’s dietary needs and preferences, and we’re happy to accommodate special diets or requests to ensure consistency and comfort.

Your pet’s safety is at the core of everything we do. Our farm follows carefully maintained safety protocols, with play areas and equipment designed specifically with your dog’s well-being in mind. Our staff is trained in pet first aid, and we are fully insured, so you can feel confident knowing your pet is in capable, caring hands.

We welcome future guests to come explore what Long Creek Farm has to offer. Preferred tour times: 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm Tuesday - Friday however we will accommodate your schedule.

Reservations are not required for tours, however we ask that you please call ahead to ensure we aren’t out walking our guests or playing in the paddock,(413) 467-1620.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

- At Long Creek Farm, boarding is designed as a comfortable, farm-style retreat, not a typical kennel. Dogs enjoy spacious indoor/outdoor runs with the freedom to choose fresh air or cozy indoor comfort, along with attentive, individualized care throughout their stay.
We offer two tiers:
1. Farm Fresh Standard Sleepover: a cozy, structured stay with all the essentials including four daily walks.
2. Paddock Play & Enrichment Sleepover: ideal for more active dogs, with additional supervised play and enrichment sessions.
3. We also provide various Grooming add-on services and encourage all owners to consider scheduling this service prior to pickup. This helps ensure your pup goes home smelling and feeling fresh!
- Absolutely. Many of our guests are first-time boarders. We take a gentle, attentive approach to help each dog acclimate at their own pace, providing reassurance, structure, and personalized care to ensure they feel safe and comfortable.
- We also offer a single night stay as a trial sleep over, be sure to reach out to learn more.
- All dogs are brought out to a fully fenced grassy paddock at least four times per day, allowing for natural movement, fresh air, and time to decompress and enjoy the country environment.
- Yes, our indoor facilities are fully climate controlled, with air conditioning in the summer and heat in the winter months to ensure year-round comfort.
- Yes, we provide 24/7 on-site care, so your dog is always in a safe, monitored environment. We live and work here on the farm, consider this your dog’s home away from home!
- Yes, our dog boarding suites are generously sized and dogs from the same household may share a suite when appropriate. For context, we’ve easily accommodated three large German Shepherds in the same suite comfortably.
- Absolutely! We aim to make your dog’s stay feel as familiar and comfortable as possible. You’re welcome to send along their regular food and treats, and we’ll take care of the rest, following their usual routine and ensuring fresh water is always available. We even have a dedicated “dog fridge” for perishable food. Your pup will be well taken care of.
- Yes, we’re happy to accommodate special routines and medications. Medication administration is available as an add-on service.
- Absolutely, we provide regular updates, including photos and videos, so you can feel confident your dog is happy and well cared for.
- Because we intentionally limit the number of dogs in our care to provide a calm, high-quality experience, availability can change quickly. We recommend booking early, especially for holidays and busy travel seasons, to secure your preferred dates. Spots are limited.
- Standard drop off and pickup times are between 8–9am. Late pick-ups or departures must be arranged in advance with Sue. Pick-ups beyond the standard time will incur an additional daily care fee.
- Dogs must be up to date on Rabies, Distemper (DHPP), and Bordetella prior to their stay. Up to date vaccination records will be collected as part of the intake form when you book.

“We boarded our Golden at Barking Bubbles and also had her groomed before picking her up. We heard of them through a friend and we are very happy. Our Golden had the best experience there; playing with her new dog friends and staying in her private space during rest time. The owners are so personable and friendly, they even send daily reports and pictures! It’s a one cost shop for boarding - you don’t pay extra for ball throwing or outside time like other places. They also are dog groomers which is a service we paid for before picking her up — it’s so nice having your dog come home clean after boarding. I would highly recommend Barking Bubbles for boarding and grooming!”

To ensure a safe and healthy environment for all guests, we require dogs to be up to date on Rabies, Distemper (DHPP), and Bordetella vaccinations prior to their stay.

As part of the booking process, clients will be prompted to complete a brief intake form and supply up to date vaccination records and provide an emergency contact before their stay is officially scheduled. The intake form helps us better understand your pet’s needs and ensure a safe, comfortable boarding experience. We look forward to caring for your pet!
